Dawn of the Dead: Review
at a quick glance this looks like nothing more than a "28 days later rip off", but without the female rape. but later its more of a night of the dead except in the year 2000 what ever. although it wasn't as deep as "28 days later" it makes its point. people are fucking stupid. the movie is chock full of stupid things people do. that said, why do they always take shelter at the mall? 28 days later they at least decided to leave it in the beginning, but this one they get stuck in it. and majority of the movie takes place in it.
backing up for a moment, it starts off hella fast. much like 28DL, the zombies move fast, and i mean fast. not night of the living dead but freakin scarry fast. not much is said about the problem tho, as in 28DL it was a virus in the blood, and the infection happend within seconds, and it came from some monkeys or something. in DotD, its more like leaves you guessing. you dont know if the whole world is affected you dont know where help is. you see it on TV but it doesn;'t mention where or how many are affected by it. i assumed it was world wide. so anyway it was kinda messy like that.
was it good? well it was your typical american made zombie movie. great effects, lots of skulls blown open, stupid chicks that get in more trouble than they're worth. oh yeah and one metro sexual fellah. he is funny at first but he is afuck tard. you'll see. oh yeah and after its over and the credits start rolling, wait and watch the full ending of the movie. its not that great but at least its better than leaving you wondering wtf happend.
rant: wtf do people bring babies into theaters like that? its loud, they are gonna make the poor kid deaf. it starts crying it upsets the people next to them and it just isn't good times at all. so please leave the kid in the car with the window rolled down, if you put a towl over its head no one will even notice its there jeez.
