First off we would like to apologize for the stability issues we have had over the last month. We do not like having them and don't like interrupting your play in any way. We are very happy to see the fire and excitement you exhibit about the game and hope that continues (In a constructive manner of course). I assure you that all but one of the zone stability issues are fixed and we are diligently working on the last known issue.
Again, we did fix the majority of the zone stability issues with the previous two updates. There is still an issue related to collision that seems to be most apparent in raid zones. To give you guys some idea, we have over 13,500 zones running at any one time in the world of EverQuest. For the 24 hour period yesterday, Sunday the 6th of March, we only had 24 zones crash. That's 0.17%. We are very proud of the stability that we provide and constantly work on improving and maintaining that stability. By the same token, we are always creating new system and making changes to systems to advance the game, always providing a fun and interesting experience for all of you.
Plane of Nightmare seems to be experiencing this issue more than other zones. Right now, I can't explain why that one is being picked on the most. Probably due to how the fight happens in there and how the NPCs response, is really bring out the issue. PoFire crashed on Tunare, potimeb on xegony, prexus, firiona, vex thal on eci, and torgiran on prexus. I know that's not all of them, but besides ponightmare, that is all of the ones that had people in them. Am I missing any from yesterday, Sunday March 6th, that you (as a collective group) are aware of? If so, please post here. Is there anything common about when it happens. Does it always seem to happen just before or after we do this (what would this be)? We have been working on this last issue for a week or so now and our lack of being able to reproduce the issue really hinders our ability to ensure that we get a proper fix in place. Does anyone think that their guild/raid can reliably reproduce the issue in any of the zones suggested in this thread? We would appreciate any details you can provide.
To close, we hope you all understand that stability is one of our primary concerns/goals and we continually work to maintain that. We apologize again for the inconvenience and with your help hope to have this issue resolved soon.
Thank you
It looks like they counted our crashes in their 24 zone crashes..
