-Update to Requirements-
We are now accepting applications for 70+
How ever, we are in an Alliance, and you will NOT be able to join an Alliance Raid until you have a Minimum of level 80 and 300 AAs (this rule does NOT apply to those that were in the guild prior to 11/15/2008), and get tagged as a Raid Member. You may join JD only raids, or off hour raids that do not earn points. We are not a mandatory raiding guild, and are welcoming those that are just looking for great people to group with. If you wish to become part of our family, still fill out an application, but don’t be worried about rejection do to lack of flags or level and AAs. If you want to jump right in to raiding, be sure that you meet the requirements.

Knowledge
You must possess a familiarity with the world of Norrath and its inhabitants. While you do not need to know every encounter, you must understand the basics of raiding, including MA, MT, RT, Rampage, Enrage, Flurry, Toggle Targets, Disciplines, Aggro Control, Pushing, Walls, and many other things. Applicants should possess these skills before applying.

Skills
You should know your class inside and out. Every class has far more to offer to an encounter than /assist and /attack on. During the application process, we will be watching to make sure you take an active and useful role. If you think you could contribute more, but are not sure it is safe, ask another member of your class. But, don't expect to be added to the guild by just doing your class' primary ability.

Attitude
Jade Dragon is a raiding guild. We work hard to move forward in the game, for the enjoyment of the game, not to be uber. We do not step on other people or treat our own poorly to get there. Honor and respect for your fellow Norrathian is important to us. Sometimes this means that we progress slower than other guilds, but it is what being Jade Dragon is all about.

Everyone makes mistakes, especially applicants. You must desire, whole-heartedly, to be told when you are acting like a Glad-Bag full of 4-week old trash. You must enjoy working in a team environment. You must be able to deal with stressful situations and people in a mature manner. You should be ready to follow the raid leaders instructions without a lot of babble.

You should have a desire to raid on an almost nightly basis. You must be prepared to die over and over without complaining about experience loss.

Playtimes
Jade Dragon is primarily a PST guild. We raid 4-6 times a week depending on targets and lockouts. Our regular raiding days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday starting at 5:30 pm PST, and Saturday and Sunday ( a bit earlier on weekends).

Resists and Supplies
Many spells now go off of your lowest resist, so having gear to raise 1 doesn't help as much. If you don't have at least 200 in all resists unbuffed, expect to die often on raids, as people won't heal you quick enough, and it won't be worth the effort.

Must possess an insta-cast clickable item for indoor and outdoor usage (goblin skull earring, bracer of the hidden, etc.)

Must be completely aware of the availability of gate-potions, heal-potions, levitation potions and invisibility-potions. Make use of them!

Must possess a permanent Enduring Breath item. DMF or the spell do not count.

Must be able to shrink yourself unless you are a gnome or halfling. Tinkered shrinking devices are cheap.

Flags and Keys
Flags and keys are not required for applying to JD, but greatly enhance your chances of becoming a member. We spend a lot of our time in places that you cannot get without flags (DoDh), so not having most flags makes it very difficult to become a member of Jade Dragon. That said, we can often get you a missing flag or 2 with JD or other guilds. You should already have any flag that you can get with a small group (Signets for the Anguish Key Quest, Dreadspire Access). Getting Dreadspire Keep access flags and TSS faction should be your highest priority.

Epic
The new epics are pretty useful, but as an applicant, you should expect it to be a long time before you see your epic. Getting an epic is not a reason to join JD.

AA points
As a guideline, we would like you to have 300 AA's at least before you apply. The more the better but AA's don’t account for skill or playtimes, you can get 30 AA a night in a good group. Some exceptions might be made for classes we need, friends, or exceptional players, but don't count on it. Once you join a raiding guild, it is sometimes hard to get time to get more AA's, especially while applying, so get them before you apply.

Some classes may have a CLASS REQUIRED Alternate Ability. Guidelines are listed below. Sometimes special exceptions are made, but should work towards the guidelines, the class leader can help if you have questions.

Below are guidelines for each class. These may be out of date (in which case they are more strict). For exceptional applications, we may waive some portion of the requirements. But, expect to get them fast if your app is accepted.

*Note that 300AA points, raid tailored, is the minimum number for all classes, regardless of specific listings, to raid. Some exceptions may be made to this for highly desired classes. The listings are there to chart the AA's we feel are important raiding abilities for the encounters we do but are by no means a comprehensive listing.
